Esther Abrami - Women (CD, digipac + signed cover art print)
With her new album âWomenâ, violinist Esther Abrami continues her mission to celebrate and amplify the voices of female composers across history and genres. The album showcases the exceptional talent of 14 remarkable women across various instrumentations, featuring new compositions by Oscar winners Rachel Portman and Anne Dudley, as well as newly arranged rediscovered works by historic icons such as Pauline Viardot, Chiquinha Gonzaga, and Ethel Smyth. At the heart of the album is the world-premiere recording of Ina Boyleâs Violin Concertoâa beautiful, almost film-score-like, late Romantic composition. The album also includes an original piece by Esther Abrami herself, who arranged several works on the album as well.
Women brings together an outstanding lineup of collaborators, including the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, conductor Irene Delgado-Jiménez, pianist Kim Barbier, harpist Lavinia Meijer, and the Esther Abrami Quintet.
